About

"Maverick" (kind praise courtesy of Raindance) documentary director and producer – specialising in leading the storytelling and production of warm, feel-good and authentic docs celebrating high-profile talent that are joyous to make and joyous to watch.

A passionate creative with entrepreneurial spirit to make it happen, through being multi-skilled and delivering brilliance, and make it magic. Freelance shooting producer/director and editor since 2015 after my dream job making MTV News bulletins and specials.

Acclaimed feature documentaries I have made include directing and editing Razorlight: Fall To Pieces (2022) that premiered at the 30th Raindance Film Festival as "one of the most authentic music documentaries we've had the pleasure of", producing Fatboy Slim Brighton beach party film Right Here, Right Now (2023) for Sky Documentaries that was nominated for Best Specialist Factual at the Broadcast Digital Awards, Don't Let The Devil Take Another Day (2020) about Stereophonics frontman/songwriter Kelly Jones that premiered at BFI Southbank before a UK/Ireland cinema release, 12 months of access filming around his massive arena tour towards Micky Flanagan: Peeping Behind The Curtain (2020) that led to a TV show commission by Sky, and developing into directing/editing football manager doc The Gaffer (2019) for BT Sport Films.

Filmed in more than 40 countries around the world in extraordinary places and with many of my favourite musicians, comedians and sports stars. Starting on CBBC show Sportsround at Television Centre in 2008 before MA Broadcast Journalism degree (fast-tracked aged 20 and graduating with Distinction) for more than 15 years I have developed ideas to commission/acquisition and led productions for national and global audiences. Selected and celebrated by talent schemes including BAFTA Connect, Edinburgh TV Festival's Ones To Watch and The Network, Raindance Film Festival and Directors UK Inspire.
